Simple WCAG Contrast Checker is a Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge extension provided by HardaWebPro. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles webpage information and extension settings. 1. Purpose of the Extension Simple WCAG Contrast Checker checks text color contrast on the current webpage against WCAG AA or WCAG AAA contrast requirements. The extension checks color contrast only. It does not certify full WCAG compliance and does not replace a complete accessibility audit. 2. Webpage Information Processed Locally To perform a contrast check, the extension may process visible text, color values, style information, and element layout information from the current webpage. This processing happens locally in your browser. If visible webpage content contains personal information, that content may be processed locally as part of the contrast analysis. The extension does not intentionally collect, retain, transmit, or share that content. 3. Local Extension Settings The extension stores limited preferences locally in browser extension storage, including: The selected WCAG contrast standard. Panel position and panel size. Panel transparency preference. Temporary state needed to restore the panel after a page refresh. These settings remain on your device and are not used to identify you personally. 4. Data We Do Not Collect The extension does not require an account, login, payment information, or API key. It does not intentionally collect or store personal contact details, passwords, payment information, form entries, browsing history, cookie contents, location data, uploaded files, screenshots, recordings, analytics identifiers, or advertising identifiers. 5. No Data Transmission, Analytics, or Sharing Simple WCAG Contrast Checker does not send webpage content, contrast results, extension settings, or personal data to HardaWebPro or third parties. The extension does not use analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, telemetry, remote configuration, remote code, or third-party APIs for contrast calculations. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data. 6. Permissions The extension requests the following permissions required for its features: activeTab to work with the active webpage after you activate the extension. scripting to run the contrast-check interface and analysis on the current webpage. storage to save extension preferences locally. clipboardWrite to copy the CSS selector of a failing element to the clipboard. No clipboard data is read or transmitted. 7. Your Control You may stop using the extension by removing it from Google Chrome via chrome://extensions or from Microsoft Edge via edge://extensions. Removing the extension generally removes locally stored extension settings. You can also manage extension permissions from your browser’s extension settings. 8. Third-Party Websites The extension may run on webpages that are not operated by HardaWebPro. Those websites may have their own privacy practices. HardaWebPro is not responsible for third-party website content, privacy practices, or security. 9. Updates We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are published. Any material change to data handling will be reflected in this policy and the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons privacy disclosures before or when the related extension version is released. 10.
