не умеет даже группировать вкладки как надо. Тоесть чтобы группа была сразу внутри вкладки а не отдельной папочкой.. идиотизм делать в отдельную папку. полный идиотизм

@smidak, the author of this extension has two similar extensions, both of which have more features than this one does. Try one of those instead: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/vertical-tabs/

Thanks, @thomasmca, I have already found a way to make it work again. Apparently it is now dependent on the visibility of the side panel, so in the end the solution was just to turn on this panel and voila, it is there. It is a bit different though - it is wider (and not adjustable to be less wide) and it takes the whole height which means it pushed the address bar and back/forward buttons to the side, but otherwise it works as before. It might take some time to get used to these changes, but it is still a very good solution for all of us, who like to use their widescreen monitors to maximum efficiency.

@smidak
This is quite a horrible change, do you know why it happened?
Was it some update to Opera that broke it, or what?I don't think I want to live with the changed appearance, it is way too wide on my screen.
If only they wouldn't mess with things that work perfectly fine all the time.Oh well, I guess it's time to change browsers again.

@thomasmca: So I've tried all three of those vertical tab options, and none of them seem to work anymore. They don't create the vertical tab list on the side, and the button they ad at the top is always greyed out. Trying to find an alternative.

It worked well until recently, but it suddenly stopped. The icon in upper toolbar is unclickable and sidebar does not appear at all. Reinstalling and fiddling with settings did not help. My current Opera version is 66.0.3515.44.

@smidak
I found how to undo this change:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/37578/solved-return-extention-sidebar-or-rework-the-main-oneActually I think it would be a great feature to integrate the sidebars into one, but not at the cost of fixed minimum width.

@stefantrethan Thanks, that is good to know! However I have already got used to the new style, mainly because wider sidebar in 4K resolution is not a big deal. So I will stick to it for now. But thanks anyway!
