1. The links are useful from the fact that sometime the .swf (flash) files open directly in browser and starts playing where are there is a need to download the flash. In such scenarios one can right click on the links and use Save As... feature to download the files

2. Some time you have bunch of text links and you what to convert those to hyperlinks in few click. In such scenarios you can copy the text links and it will convert all the text links to hyperlinks

3. Code for the links are available in the form of HTML anchor tag so that the code can be placed in any blog that accepts link in the form of HTML tag
