TabZen – End User License Agreement (EULA)
Last updated: 2026-03-17
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (“you”) and the developer/publisher of TabZen (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the TabZen browser extension (“Software”).
By installing or using the Software, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1) License Grant
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the Software for your personal or internal business use, subject to this EULA.
2) Restrictions
You agree that you will not:
Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software except as permitted by applicable law.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
Circumvent or disable security-related features of the Software.
Use the Software to violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights.
Use the Software to send spam, generate abusive notifications, or engage in harmful activity.
3) Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights, except for rights explicitly granted to you in this EULA.
4) Updates and Changes
We may provide updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. Updates may modify or remove features. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Software.
5) Privacy
The Software stores and processes certain data locally in your browser (for example tab titles, URLs, and your “purpose” notes) to provide features.
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy:
PRIVACY_POLICY.md in this repository (or the published Privacy Policy URL in the extension store listing).
If you click external links (e.g., a waitlist form), those sites have their own privacy practices.
6) Third-Party Services and Links
The Software may include links to third-party websites (for example, a waitlist form). We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
7) Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with all systems.
8) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Software.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software (if any) in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing, our total liability is $0.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9) Termination
This EULA remains effective until terminated. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach this EULA. Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Software.
10) Compliance and Export
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including export control laws, when using the Software.
11) Governing Law
This EULA will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is located, excluding conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
