Note: The Metamorph browser extension DOES NOT store or collect your code or data. The personal access token is required only for private repositories such that we can access them in-browser and display the analytics. The personal access token is stored in your browser’s local storage.

Also note that for a public repo without a personal access token, the Github API limits users to 60 API requests/hour. Hence if you want to access multiple repositories within that time frame, we suggest that you add your personal access token.
