Description

Disable HTML5 Autoplay disables HTML5 audio and video autoplaying.

In addition to removing the HTML autoplay attribute from media elements, Disable HTML5 Autoplay also hooks into the media's JavaScript API. This allows for restrictions on media control and simulation of expected behavior to ensure that all pages behave normally.

Works great for me. So good to see websites struggling with autoplay but then failing. :)))
Actually this function could be included in Opera's built-in adblocker...

p.s. it breaks Facebook & Twitter videos, you can get around this by adding
"facebook.com nothing
twitter.com nothing"
to the plugin settings page.

Sorry, this plugin has been abandoned by the developer and it appears no one has continued the work, at least publicly. It fails on more and more sites as time goes by.

Works great for me, with Opera 44 and Linux Mint. The major news sites like CNN and Time were the worst offenders, and this, along with blocking them from running flash (seems to be their fall-back), solved the problem.
